[Syn. 'Akame'] A mystery plant to me, as most sources list it a red/reddish flowers plant. We received this yellow flowered version form Norm of Arbutus Garden Arts and he insists it is the right one. Actually, it doesn't matter either way; the large, long-spurred soft yellow flowers are very unique and it blooms in abundance, several times for us. Keep in mind re-bloom is encouraged by regular watering and the soil can't be too poor. The leaves are evergreen; bright green in summer and turning reddish/maroon in fall/winter. Clumping and drought tolerant once established.
