Among the many maroon-flowered sessile Trilliums, this one stands out for the distinctively narrow leaves with purple flecks. The flowers are richly colored and the petals are narrow as well and twisted. Seems to multiply readily and grow into multi-stem clumps. May be shipped as bare root early in spring and later as potted, yet not rooted-in plants.
