For over 10 years, this was the most outstanding selection we offered in the purple color range and - it's still up there. The flowers are medium-large (2.5"), dark lavender with a white zone but no yellow, which intensifies the purple experience. However, 'Azula' is not easy in the garden and although technically hardy to at least zone 8, we recommend it for zone 9 or to be grown in a greenhouse. It positively needs excellent soil and even moisture (but not wet).
