A winter hardy straw flowers from higher altitudes in Lesotho and Drakensberg Mts., South Africa. We brought this bella from Europe in 2007 but didn't put too much hope in it's survival outside. After being exposed to single digits (Fahrenheit) twice in the last 5 years (5 deg. F. December 2013), we're pleasantly surprised the clump made it through without protection. The white, papery daisy-flowers can be easily dried for long lasting arrangements. Needs well drained soil.
