Much sought after, producing 12" long and 6" wide, pleated leaves. On imposing panicles are countless (over 1000 on mature plants) star-shaped, dark maroon flowers, 1/2" across each. They normally bloom in the 7th to 8th year, this ones are selected, extra large plants, 6-7 years old and have a very good chance to bloom next year. Average to moist soil; best in moist, especially in sun.
